Ketamine Collaboration

  • I provide psychiatric evaluation and structured support for individuals participating in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) in collaboration with community-based therapists trained in psychedelic therapy modalities.

    • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes assessment of appropriateness and safety for ketamine related treatments

    • Initial preparation session focused on education, intention-setting, and grounding

    • Prescribing and medical monitoring throughout treatment (as appropriate)

    • Coordination and collaboration with your therapist

    • Optional group integration opportunities for reflection and processing

    • Individuals experiencing difficult-to-treat or persistent depression, anxiety, and other mood-related concerns

    • Those who have not tolerated traditional psychotropic medications

    • Individuals looking to deepen their engagement in therapy and access experiences that may be less accessible through talk therapy alone

    • Individuals working with a therapist offering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy

    • Those seeking a collaborative, medically supported approach

  • Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not appropriate for everyone. This service may not be a good fit for individuals with:

    • A history of psychotic disorders or active psychosis

    • Certain uncontrolled or unstable medical conditions (such as uncontrolled hypertension or glaucoma))

    • Active substance use concerns that would interfere with safe treatment

    • Pregnancy or those planning to become pregnant

    • Situations where appropriate therapeutic support or follow-up care is not in place

A full evaluation is completed prior to treatment to ensure safety and appropriateness.

  • For individuals with Select Health insurance, portions of this service may be eligible for insurance billing.

    • The initial psychiatric evaluation is typically billable to insurance

    • The preparation session is often billable as well, depending on coverage

Other components of care are not covered by insurance:

    • Group integration sessions are self-pay

    • Ketamine medication is typically not covered and is paid out of pocket

This service is provided in collaboration with your therapist, and therapy sessions are billed separately by your therapist according to their own rates and policies.

  • Insurance coverage can vary, and patients are encouraged to verify their individual benefits in advance.

For services that are not billable in-network as outlined in “Pricing”, a superbill can be provided upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement. However, reimbursement is not guaranteed, and it is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to confirm coverage and understand that they are responsible for any costs not covered by their insurance.

A clear breakdown of expected costs will be reviewed prior to starting treatment so you can make an informed decision. See “Pricing” below.
