Billing

I am committed to making mental health care accessible while providing transparency and ensuring that you are fully informed about the financial aspects of your care.

I am currently contracted with many Select Health insurance plans. Many of the services I provide can be billed to insurance, though there are some exceptions. Please see individual services → “Pricing” for details. It is your responsibility to ensure all relevant insurance policy information is provided prior to your session and you remain financially responsible for all charges of services, whether or not they are covered by your insurance carrier. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be expected to pay a copayment or deductible. Please check with your provider/carrier for details.

I do offer sliding scale fees for those without insurance, wanting to pay out-of-pocket, or based on financial need for a fixed number of individuals. For more information or to discuss sliding scale eligibility, please contact me.

Payment is due at the time of service. Cash, Health Savings Account (HSA), all major credit and debit cards, or peer-to-peer payment platforms (Venmo, PayPal, Zelle) are accepted.

For out-of-network or self-pay clients, I can happily provide Superbill documentation as requested.

Cancellation Policy

Appointment times are set aside in advance and held exclusively for you. Out of respect for both your time and others seeking care, we ask that cancellations or changes be made with appropriate notice.

If you do not show up for and have not provided at least 24 hrs advance notice, the following cancellation fees apply:

  • Prehabilitation

    • You will be billed $50 if adequate notice not provided or if a no-show to scheduled time

  • Psychiatric Evaluation and Follow-Up Visits (including preparation and ketamine collaboration visits)

    • You will be billed 50% of the session rate (not just the individual copay rate)

  • Med Thread

    • You will be billed $50 if adequate notice not provided or if a no-show to scheduled time

  • Open Groups

    • While there is no-charge for a missed open/drop-in group, we ask that you politely provide at least 24 hrs notice if you are unable to attend last minute to allow for proper preparation and facilitator planning.

  • Closed groups or those requiring advance registration

    • You will be billed $25/session

Good Faith Estimate Notice

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care. The estimate does not include additional services or treatments that may arise during the course of your care as costs may vary depending on your specific needs, the complexity of care, or changes to your treatment plan. If you do not have insurance or are not using insurance, you can request a written estimate of the expected charges before your appointment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than this Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges. You can initiate a dispute resolution process through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS). For more information on how to file a dispute, visit: https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
