Because it is personal.
Are you someone who has personally experienced cancer, is caregiving for someone with cancer, or a healthcare worker supporting patients with life-changing illnesses?
Are you also struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, sleep troubles, life transitions, relationship strain, or coping with a chronic illness?
If so, the Collective is for you.
Philosophy
Experiencing a cancer diagnosis, walking alongside someone who has, or being part of the healthcare team caring for these individuals is hard work. It can force initiation into a club you never wanted to join and bring with it a heavy mental and emotional experience.
Having a mental health team who understands the uniqueness of cancer survivorship, the critical role of care partners, and the beauty of community is invaluable. The Common Thread Collective was formed in 2024 and founded by myself, Rachel Montague, alongside my therapy dog Pancho. With big plans for growth in the coming years to establish this “collective” community, we are working to spearhead a new movement to meet the needs of this population in the Salt Lake Valley and beyond.
I am committed to helping people find strength, resilience, and hope by developing shared-treatment plans that address the emotional, physical, psychological, and social dimensions of care. I assist clients by providing individual and group therapy, psychiatric medication management, and self-directed tools for improving personal wellbeing and quality of life.
I look forward to hearing your story and working together.
“There is a moment, a cusp, when the sum of gathered experience is worn down by the details of living. We are never so wise as when we live in this moment.”
